“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
— James 5:16
Lord, I pray for those I love,
but the heavens seem silent.
I lift their names,
their pain, their needs,
but it feels like my voice fades
before it even reaches You.
I don’t ask for myself.
I ask for them—
for healing, for freedom, for hope.
I would give anything
to see their prayers answered,
to see their suffering end.
Yet I feel small,
as if my words are too weak
to move Your hand.
Do You hear me, Lord?
Do my prayers matter?
But I know You are listening,
even when I cannot see it.
Your timing is not mine,
and Your love for them
is greater than my own.
Teach me to trust You
with those I love most.
Even when I feel unheard,
let me believe
that every prayer
rests safely in Your hands.
