Lord, I have waited until my heart aches.
Every day I ask, “Will it be today?”
Every night I wonder if You’ve forgotten me.
I know Your timing is perfect,
but I am weary of silence.
I watch others rejoice,
while I sit with unanswered prayers.
How long, O Lord?
Will I be waiting when my strength is gone?
Teach me to hope when I see nothing move.
Teach me to trust when the path is hidden.
I will not stop calling on You.
Even if I never see the answer I long for,
I will wait,
because You are worth waiting for.
