“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
— Hebrews 10:23
Lord, my hope feels thin, like smoke in the wind.
I have prayed, I have waited,
and yet the answers don’t come.
I feel like a tree in a drought,
my roots searching for water but finding dust.
I know You are faithful,
but the silence makes me ache.
The days blur together,
and I wonder if I am forgotten.
Where is the dawn, Lord?
When will light break through my night?
Yet I will not let go of You.
Even if my hope flickers,
I will place it in Your hands.
You are my refuge,
the only one who can make new life
out of what feels lost and broken.
