📜When Guilt Won’t Let Go: Modern Day Psalm

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
— Romans 8:1

Lord, my past clings to me like a shadow.
It whispers of failures I can’t erase,
sins I cannot forget,
and choices I would undo if I could.
Even when I know You’ve forgiven me,
I struggle to forgive myself.

The enemy hurls my memories like stones.
He calls me unworthy,
and I almost believe him.
How can I ask anything of You, Lord,
when I feel like I’ve wasted so much of my life?

But You say I am washed clean.
You say I am made new.
Your cross covers every stain,
every regret, every shame.

Teach me to live as one who is free.
Help me to let go of the chains
that You already broke.
When guilt comes knocking,
let me answer with Your grace.
