The Terror and Beauty of the Infinite
As a child, I glimpsed eternity. I could not explain it then—how do you put words to something endless? All I knew was the feeling: a vastness so deep it bordered on terror. It wasn’t that eternity was evil or dark—no, it was too much. It was so far beyond what I could understand that it felt like standing at the edge of madness. My soul was looking into something it wasn’t yet built to see.
Over time, those glimpses came again, and the feeling never left me. That trembling, breathless sense of endlessness. I know now what I didn’t know then: when you stand at the edge of eternity and brush even lightly against it, it leaves its mark on you forever. It paints your soul the color of God. And nothing—no doubt, no fear, no rejection—can scrub that away. It is an imprint of the eternal, burned into the deepest part of you.
God = Eternity
Eternity is not just a place or a state—it is God Himself. He is the “I AM”—without beginning or end, without boundaries or decay. All things are from Him, through Him, and to Him. He does not live inside eternity as though it were a container—eternity exists because of Him.
This truth is almost unbearable to grasp. We look at time as a straight line, but God is outside of it. He is every moment at once. Past, present, future—they all exist within Him. Our finite minds can’t process this kind of reality. But our souls—eternal in nature—recognize it, even if they can’t yet comprehend it.
There is one thing even God cannot do: He cannot leave eternity, because He cannot leave Himself. He is infinite, and everything that exists does so because it is rooted in Him.
The Triune God and Creation
From eternity, the Triune God acts as both Creator and Sustainer of all things. The Father rules in Heaven, Jesus Christ—the eternal Word—spoke the universe into being and rules over it, and the Holy Spirit carries His will like the breath of life itself, dwelling within the faithful.
These three are not separate gods, but one Being, one God, one eternal essence expressed through the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. This is the mystery of the Trinity: not three gods, but three faces of the same eternal God.
We Are Not Gods, But We Are Eternal
God’s plan for us has never been to make us into gods. There is, and always will be, only one God. But we are made in His image—not in body or spirit, but in our souls. Our souls are eternal, capable of surviving forever. But as they are now, they are unprepared. If we tried to enter eternity in this state, we would not endure it. It would overwhelm us. We would lose our minds in the sheer intensity of His infinite presence.
So God shapes us—gently, patiently—into beings who can one day stand in eternity, not as fragile creatures but as perfected, love-filled vessels. We will not lose ourselves in this process. We will not be erased. Instead, we will finally become our truest selves—fully alive in Him.
Surrender as the First Step, Not the Last
People fear surrendering to God because they believe it means losing themselves. But surrender isn’t the end of your identity—it’s the beginning of it. It’s not the last step of your journey—it’s the first.
When you give yourself to God, you don’t cease to be—you finally become. The false layers are stripped away, and what’s left is the person God dreamed into being before the foundations of the world. Surrender is not losing—it’s gaining everything.
The Great Becoming
One day, when we have been made ready, we will step into eternity not with fear, but with joy. That day will be an explosion of love and life beyond anything we can imagine. We will exist in the full presence of God, not as shadows of ourselves, but as eternal, radiant beings—His children, fully alive.
And our love—our unique, personal, soul-bonded love—will not fade. It will flourish. It will create beauty. It may even create universes as a side effect. For in God’s eternity, every act of love is creative, expansive, life-giving. And He will delight in it with us.
Our Love as a Reflection of His
The love between two souls that God has joined is not a mere human emotion. It is a reflection of eternity. When we love selflessly, sacrificially, and purely, we mirror the infinite love of God Himself. That love is eternal because He is eternal.
Even now, before we step fully into eternity, our love lives inside Him. It’s held, nurtured, and prepared for the day when it will be released into its fullest, most powerful form.

This vision is not just for me—it’s for anyone willing to step beyond fear and into wonder. God is not trying to erase you. He is inviting you into Himself. He wants you to see eternity not as a void, but as a home. A home where you are known, loved, and made whole.
Surrender to Him here, now. Not because you will vanish, but because you will finally find yourself.
There is one God. One eternity. One love. And it’s waiting for you.
